I was asked to give a speech at the Open House ( where we welcome the public and potential MBS families to tour and learn about the Morristown-Beard School).
About MBS: The Morristown Beard School ( http://www.mbs.net) :”successfully supports students with a diversity of interests, goals, and aptitudes. Classes are small, and teachers seize the opportunity to engage directly with each of their students. Again and again, students describe the school community as a family. This sense of intimacy combines with a universe of opportunity: a broad selection of electives, independent projects, clubs, sports, and activities. As a result, each MBS student experiences the school in unique ways. Each develops his or her own transcript of achievements, writing his or her own story of learning and growth.”
Instead of just giving a speech, I wanted visitors to see my experience and feel as though they were a part of my everyday routine. I produced, recorded, and edited this video as a senior in high school, and chose to make this Open House non-traditional in that sense. The video was a huge success, and has over 2,000 views to date!
