I believe that my passion for finding comfort in chaos, varied experiences in journalism, and personal emphasis on storytelling make me a successful candidate for various and current internship and job positions.

As a student of the School of Journalism within the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I’ve worked to to ensure that I gain as much experience in production as I possibly can. Whether it be producing my radio show, “Real Talk” live every Tuesday night, interning with Fox Sports and running the field with cameramen, or interviewing celebrity hosts at Teen Vogue, my passion for production is evident in all I do.

In terms of the intern position, I have experience in many aspects of office administration. I have been responsible for tracking finances, ordering coffees, samples and office supplies, booking travel plans and daily calendars, editing articles, scheduling meetings and entertaining visitors at the door or by phone. I am always on time, and always hardworking.

This summer, after filming an alumnae testimonial for the Teen Vogue and Parsons Fashion Industry Essentials education certification, I proposed to the CEO of the program that he should hire me for a non-existent internship position.

The CEO approved of my proposal and I began work the next day, at the position I created for myself within the company. In this internship, I managed and created content for the Teen Vogue and Parsons social channels.

I also formed questions and led on-screen interviews with industry leaders like Bobbi Brown and Hannah Bronfman. I was so grateful for the opportunity to run various errands for these influential people, and initiate in conversation when appropriate.

I also would be honored to assist any company with Instagram, behind-the-scenes videos, and photo editing. During my time as the Head of Social Media Strategy at Latico Leathers, one of my duties was maintaining communication between staff as we were undergoing a restructuring of our social media strategy. I was excited to be a part of the 60% growth we experienced to the company as a result of our Insta-impact and teamwork.

My academic experience within the School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Wisconsin-Madison has also provided me with the opportunity to hone my written abilities. In this learning environment, I was responsible for proofreading and editing executive correspondence. I feel comfortable editing scripts and helping whenever and wherever I am needed.

Majoring in journalism and mass communications helped me to develop excellent time management and a strategic mindset to achieve anything that may be asked of me. I believe that I would be a perfect fit for any company that is in search of a hardworker, and I thank you for reading this passage.
